Cheryl ~ Day 75
Today was one of those days that it paid off to not give up. To stay true to that which I knew could be accomplished. We sometimes stop when it appears as if things aren’t going the way we would like them. We state the facts and justify why this won’t work or maybe why that didn’t happen. However, maybe if we just dig in a little longer, ask for other ways to pursue a situation. Not be afraid to ask for help or others to step up and to commit to the process then we might change that one thing that all the signs seemed to say wouldn’t work out. In a meeting recently someone implied if this would a great idea someone would have done it already. I wonder how many time that has been said and then later there it is, and the person that made the comment is wishing they would have pursued it. Just because nobody has done it doesn’t mean its a bad idea or it can’t be done. Follow your gut, take risks and never ever give up.

I have been working on a new project for a non profit and our site should be going live tomorrow. http://www.lendusyourear.org/ is focused on offering information about non-profits and charities with the power of audio from all aspects of the organization. We will have audio from the participants, the sponsors and the volunteers. Our first inititative is the Avon Walk in which we will be going to all 9 cities and collecting audio. Each person involved in this cause has an incredible reason for being a part of this campaign. As we gather this information we will also be able to spread the word about what it has to offer. It has been a crazy few weeks leading up to this regardless it is worth the wait. Sometimes we need to be patient..

We may not be able to change the path we have went down, however we can change the path we create today.

Cheryl ~ Day 73
One of the challenges in life is learning to accept people with their history. There were situations before us that alter the way people react to situations today, in work, friendships and relationships. The way we respond to situations today is affect by what we experienced in the past. Our past shapes us and those we encounter. I know sometimes we react in a situation based on the past not the present. No one wants to have their past brought up forever, however we also can’t ignore the past and keep making the same mistakes. We can learn to be understanding, forgive our own past mistakes, and accept others past mistakes and both try to grow beyond them. Who we are is based on where we have been and what we have decided to bring with us from our past. This makes up our person and helps determine our future.

Cheryl ~ Day 158; 207 to Go
Today I attended a Make A Wish charity event. The young wish chld was there to participate and assist. As I interacted with over 125 individuals all gathered for this amazing cause and saw the smile on the face of the 6 year old girl, stronger and healthier then she was less than 8 months ago my live came more into perspective. The things I spend my time concerned about, the attention I put on what is important seem almost silly as the evening progressed. The young mom of this girl stood at the front of the room and explained what had happend over the last 16 months and the journey they had and how this one single foundation had restored hope and fight in their little girls life. I am so grateful for organizaitons like the Make A Wish Foundation and all the other ones out there that remember the people that wake up every day fighting to survive. This is my inspired thought.

48 years ago the idea of Earth Day was born. Until then there was no organized day to dedicate the appreciation of our planet. Of all the things we have to be grateful for I think one that we all tend to take for granted is our Earth. It isn’t until nature reminds us of it’s power do we even recognize that we are on this big beautiful ball traveling through space. We have deserts, valleys, mountains, rivers, waterfalls and oceans. We have sunrises and sunsets, rainbows and rainfall. Our Earth is so much apart of our lives and I am very grateful today and everyday for all the Earth provides us. This is my daily inspired thought.

There is something to be said for laughter. I know I have talked about this before, however, I must say it again. Tough day, didn’t go according to plan at all. Had a very long to do list and barely made a dent. Then decided to be completely honest and lets face it nobody wants anybody to be completely honest. Then my evening ended at “Young Frankenstein” broadaway. Needless to say 3 hours latter there is a smile on my face and the reality is that my to do list not getting done didn’t stop the world. However, the 3 hours with my daughter and her boyfriend laughing at totally inappropirate parts of the play made me realize that this moment 10, 15 or 20 years from now will make me smile when I think of it. The reality is our lives are woven over time with a combination of laughter and tears and those are the things that matter. This is my daily inspired thoughts.

Cheryl ~ Day 109; 256 to Go
Sometimes there are moments when we try to analyiz a situation to understand it , or to find out what we have done to cause a change. At work, in a relationship with family members. There are times that no matter how much we try to understand why things are changing or what we have done wrong it isn’t about us. There is nothing we have done wrong. The truth is we seldom know the entire story to things that happen within our immediate circle let alone understand those outside that circle. We have to sometimes put ourselves first. Do what is best for us and if those in our life or situations come back around again to where they once were then they were meant to be that way. However, we each must respect ourselves and not allow ourselves. In doing this we will attrack those to us in our lives that will also respect us.

Dishes, why is it a great meal has to come with dishes. It’s part of our life. We have a great meal wth friends and family and when it is over there they are the dishes. There are many things in life like dishes, they keep coming back. However, the key to dishes is to tackle them early and get it over with. That is the key to many other things in our lives. The things we hate that we want to aviod, just because we don’t deal with them doesn’t mean they will go away. They actually just pile up and create a mess. So like dirty dishes face them head on clean it up and when it is all done there is nothing like a kitchen that sparkles. The same is true for our hearts and minds, clean out the dirty dishes and there is a sparkle where once there was greasy build up. Under there is hope, inspiration and creativity.
