Kim - Rebellion
I don’t think I was adequately prepared to deal with the strong wills and rebellious nature of my children. I was not that child. My sister was supposed to get the rebellious kids because she was the one that fought against the rules. I always found it much easier and much more pleasant to just do as I was told and on the rare occasion I did something my parents may not have approved of, I certainly didn’t brag about it. (Big sigh). I suppose there is a lesson to be learned by being given these spirited souls to raise. Who knows, maybe they are learning how to raise a strong, stable, consistent parent, not the other way around.

Kim - Snow Day
It was certainly a strange snow day — no snow, only the threat of it. Kids could have gone to school, but I suppose it is better to be safe. I even ran out to the grocery store just to make sure there were plenty of snacks and stuff to make sandwiches. You can imagine how much 4 growing boys can eat, especially when they are watching TV and playing video games. Well tomorrow, they can shovel snow for me!

Kim - Teens
It is great to see my son so excited about something. School has been a challenge the last couple of years, but driver’s ed is someplace where he is exceling and actaully enjoying the classes. He went out driving with the teacher for the first time today and got a 7 out of 10 rating. Every kid needs to have successes to celebrate — their parents can benefit from that too I suppose!
